Delicious Parwal Korma Recipe
Pointed
Gourd (Parwal)-500gms
Turmeric
Powder-1tsp
Coriander
Powder -2 tsp
Green
Chilly-4-5 pcs
Bay
leaves-2 pcs
Cumin
seeds-1 tsp
Tomatoes-2
big size (make puree) or you can use readymade tomato puree also.
Salt-as
taste
Oil-2tbsp
+ oil for deep frying
Milk-1
cup
For
Paste:
Freshly
grated Coconut-1 cup +Coconut Slices for Garish
Cashews
or Almonds-2 tbsp ( Soak the cashews and poppy seeds in warm water for 15 mins
before you start to make the recipe)
Poppy
seeds (optional)-2 tbsp
Green
Chilly-4-5 pcs
Method:
First cut the pointed gourds into diagonally, add some salt, a pinch of turmeric and
marinated it for 10 minutes.
Then
make the paste with the above ingredients.
First
deep fry the pointed gourds (parwal) and keep aside
Then
take a wok or kadhai, heat 2tbsp oil, add cumin seeds and the paste and fry it
upto 10 mins then add the tomato puree, turmeric powder, and coriander powder
fry till it leaves oil from side.
Then
add the salt and little water and mix it properly.
After
that add the fried pointed gourds mix and fry for 3 mins.
Lastly
add the milk and stir continuously and covered it for 5 mins
Take
it out to a bowl and garnish with coconut slices and the parwal korma is ready
to serve.
Serve
hot with rice or Chappatti
