Ingredients:
Chicken-500gms
(cut into small pieces)
Onion-1
big size (finely chopped)
Fresh
Curry leaves- ½ cup
Lemon
juice-2tbsp
Fresh Coriander Leaves- ½ cup (finely chopped)
Milk-1
cup or as required
Chettinad Style Chicken Curry Paste:-
Tomatoes-3
medium sized
Ginger-1inch
Garlic-5-6
pods
Fresh
Coconut-1 cup (grated properly)
Coriander
seeds (sabut dhaniya)-1 tsp
Fennel
seeds (sabut saunf)-1tsp
Peppercorns
(kalimirch)-2tsp
Dry
red chillies-3-4 pcs
Cardamom
(elaichi)-2-3pcs
Cloves
(laung)-2-3pcs
Turmeric
powder-1/2tsp
Salt-as
required
Preparation: Chettinad Style Chicken Recipes
First
grind all the ingredients required for the paste into a smooth and fine paste
with little water.
Take
a pan or a wok (kadhai), Heat oil then add chopped onions and curry leaves into
it fry it for 5 mins. Add the chicken pieces stir it properly and covered it
for 5 to 8 mins.
Then
add the paste and mix it properly and fry it for some mins and covered it for
10 mins in low flame.
After
that add 1/4 cups of water and let it covered for again 5 mins in simmer. Its
prepared just takes it out and keep aside for 5 mins and add 1 cup milk to the
dish. Check the salt if required and just stir it for few seconds on medium
flame.
Mix
well and add lemon juice.
Serve
hot with chopped coriander leaves and crushed peppercorns and with green
salads.
The
chettinad style chicken curry is a tasty and delicious dish and you will make
it in microwave also. The preparation and process is same in microwave also.
You just serve it with steam rice or hot chappati or naan.
