Main Ingredients for Khaman Dhokla Recipe
Yogurt beaten - 1 cup
Gram flour( besan ) - 2 cups
Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Green chilli & ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Salt according to taste
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Soda - 1 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Fresh chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
Coconut scraped - 1/2 cup
Black Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Method - How to make Khaman Dhokla Recipes
- Take gram flour (besan) in a bowl. Add yogurt & one cup warm water and mix properly. Add salt mix again. Avoid lumps.
- Leave it oneside to ferment for 3-4 hours. When gram flour mixture fermented properly, add green chilli paste, ginger paste and turmeric powder.. Mix properly. Then heat the steamer and grease a thali.
- In a bowl take soda, lemon juice, oil - 1tsp and mix properly. Add it to the whisk briskly and batter. Pour the batter into the greased thali & place it in steamer..
- Cover the steamer lid and steam for 10-12 minutes. After when a little cool cut into squares & serve it.
- Heat 1tsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds for fry. When the mustard seeds start to crackle, remove it & pour on the Khaman Dhoklas.
- Serve Khaman Dhoklas garnished with scraped coconut and fresh chopped coriander leaves.
